The knowledge about menopause is low, both among women and in healthcare, and the symptoms are many and varied. Still, one in five women in Sweden are not talking about menopause with anybody.

RFSU AB therefore launched an initiative to encourage more people to speak about menopause and increase the knowledge about the hormonal process. At the same time, seven products to alleviate menopause symptoms were launched.

As part of the campaign, I wrote several educational articles about some of the most common symptoms for the RFSU webpage. All profits from the sale of these products go to RFSU's "For the Freedom of Every Body" – efforts to promote human and sexual rights worldwide.

With The New Period, RFSU wants to encourage women to discover this new period in life and decide on it on their own terms.
